Introduction to me!

Published on 26 January 2026 at 14:00

Welcome to my very first blog post! I’m excited to finally have a space to share more about who I am, what I love, and what inspires me. Here, you’ll find honest reflections on my life, personal growth journeys, and what I’m learning along the way. My goal is to create a space that feels real, relatable, and encouraging—so I’m glad you’re here and can’t wait to share more with you.

Welcome to my very first blog post on LifeOfaUniversityGirl – I’m so happy you’re here.

I wanted to create a little corner of the internet where I can be honest about what life is really like as a Criminology with Forensic Psychology student. It’s not always as glamorous as Netflix crime documentaries make it look (sadly no dramatic courtroom showdowns… yet), but it’s definitely interesting, challenging, and sometimes a little chaotic.

So, who am I?

I’m currently studying Criminology with Forensic Psychology. I’m that friend who’s always overthinking character motives in films, analysing true crime documentaries like it’s homework, and somehow turning everyday situations into mini psychology case studies in my head.

Outside of uni work, I love reading (all kinds of books!) as well as spending time with my amazing friends, and my boyfriend of nearly 4 years! I'm also an AVID animal lover, I have two doggies, Bentley the Shiipoo and oaklie the German Shepard. I’m also on a big journey of figuring out who I am, what I want, and how to balance having a social life with actually getting my assignments done on time.

Why I Started LifeOfaUniversityGirl:

I started this blog for a few reasons:

• To be real about student life
Uni can be fun and exciting, but it can also be lonely, stressful, and confusing. I want this to be a place where we talk about all of it – the wins, the breakdowns, the all-nighters, and the random moments that make it all worth it.

• To share my journey in criminology & forensic psychology
If you’re curious about this course, thinking of studying it, or just fascinated by the world of crime, behaviour, and justice, I’ll be sharing what I’m learning, what surprised me, and what it’s really like from the inside.

• To go deeper than just aesthetics… but still keep things cute
I love an aesthetic feed, a colour-coordinated notes page, and a well-put-together vibe. But behind every pretty picture, there’s a real person with real thoughts and feelings. Here, I want to mix both: posts that look nice, but also mean something.

• To connect with people who get it
Whether you’re a fellow student, a future criminology girly, or just someone who loves honest content, I hope you’ll feel seen, understood, and maybe even a little inspired.

What You’ll Find on This Blog:

On LifeOfaUniversityGirl, you can expect a mix of:

• Uni life diaries – the realities of lectures, seminars, deadlines, and trying to function on too little sleep.

• Criminology & forensic psych reflections – modules I’m taking, topics that blow my mind, and the parts that are nothing like what I expected.

• Deep chats about mental health and growth – anxiety, burnout, comparison, confidence, identity, and all the messy parts of growing up.

• Study vibes & organisation tips – realistic routines, study days, planning, and small habits that make life a bit easier.

• Aesthetic moments – from cosy study set-ups to little snapshots of my day that make uni life feel a bit softer and more romanticised (in a real way).

My goal is to make this space feel like a long chat with a friend: sometimes funny, sometimes deep, sometimes chaotic, but always honest.

Let’s Do This Together

If you’ve ever felt like you’re supposed to have everything figured out by now (but absolutely do not), you’re not alone. I’m right there with you.

If you want to stick around, you can:

Thank you for being here for my very first post. It honestly means a lot that you’re reading this at the very start of this journey.

Here’s to late-night essays, early-morning coffees, deep conversations, aesthetic moments, and figuring it all out together.

See you in the next post ♡
